Airport Merignac. Aerodrome Vendays-Montalivet

From the International Airport Bordeaux-Merignac (located 12 km west of Bordeaux) which covers the main cities of Europe (including some cheap flights and great deals to London-Gatwick, Heathrow Luton and Bristol) you have just over an hours drive by car to the hotel. From the local aerodrome Vendays-Montalivet its a 5-minute drive (We can pick you up if you give us a ring beforehand).

By Bus

Citram Aquitaine from Bordeaux

All year the Bus company Citram runs the "Trans-Gironde" bus route - Bordeaux train Station to Lesparre-Medoc. In the summer you can then find the local bus to Montalivet from Lesparre-Medoc. Out of the summer season the local bus does not run, so sadly you will have to take a taxi from Lesparre-Medoc.

By Train

Lesparre-Medoc by the Regional Express Train

By train you can get as far as Lesparre (which is 22 km away from Montalivet). The journey using the regional express train from Bordeaux to Lesparre-Medoc will take you 1 hr.

By car from the North

Passing by Royan and the Verdon Ferry

From Paris, leave the A10 at Saintes (J25) following the signs for Royan. Arriving via the Royan Pointe-de-Grave Verdon ferry, you should head in the direction of Bordeaux on the N215. After 25km you will come to a cross road; signposted left to Queyrac and right to Vendays-Montalivet on the D102. Take the right hand turn and you will come to Vendays-Montalivet roundabout. At a roundabout in the village of Vendays-Montalivet turn right. After about 8km you will come to the Montalivet roundabout, straight on, the Hotel Le Marin is found on your left after 500m.

By car from the South

Passing by Bordeaux ringroad (Rocade)

Take the exit 7 off the Rocade towards Lacanau on the N215 - Follow signs to Lacanau on the D6. At Sainte Hélène, turn right onto the D104 towards Brach. Then follow signs to Carcans. At the Carcans turn right. Continue north for about 30km, passing through Hourtin until you reach Vendays-Montalivet. At a roundabout in the village of Vendays-Montalivet turn left. After about 8km you will come to Montalivet roundabout, straight on, the Hotel Le Marin is found on your left after 500m.
